Heart of Lions say they are determined to hold onto second place position as the First Capital Plus Premier League reaches homestretch.
The Kpando-based side were brought down to earth last Saturday when they crashed to a 4-1 defeat at Ebusua Dwarfs in Cape Coast.
Lions are tied on 41 points with third-placed Hearts of Oak but have played one match less.
But Medeama, who have four games in hand including a match against Lions, are the genuine contenders to finish second.
But Lions are still remaining confident of picking up the other CAF Champions League slot for next season.
ââ¬ÅLooking at the league table, we can't be first, so we have to maintain the second position,â⬠Heart of Lions General Manager Yashin Laryea told New Mercury FM in Kumasi.
ââ¬ÅIf we can't have the first position we have to maintain the second position.ââ¬
