Heart of Lions striker Bernard Morrison has revealed he is inspired by Ghana's record goal scorer Asamoah Gyan.

The youngster joined Ebenezer Assifuah's record as the only players to have scored four goals in a single game this season after bagging a quartet against RTU on Sunday.

The 21-year-old scored twice in either halves as Lions cruised to a 5-1 victory over the relegated side at the Tamale Sports Stadium.

Morrison whose recent form scoring form has won him a place in the Local Black Stars squad says he is inspired by the exploits of Gyan who broke Abedi Pele's all-time Ghana record on Friday.

Gyan broke Abedi Pele's 33 goal record when he scored a double to help a ten-man Black Stars defeat Sudan 3-1 in Omdurman.

Morrison reveals his admiration for the former Sunderland striker.

"I like Asamoah Gyan he is a great player and he has scored many goals for Ghana and that inspires me," he said after his record equalising exploits in Tamale.
