Aduana Stars defender Godfred Saka says it has never crossed his mind to join either Hearts of Oak or Asante Kotoko- the country’s two biggest clubs.

Saka has explicitly stated his next move is to sign for a foreign club after five seasons with the Dormaa-based club.

The right back came close to exiting the Fire Boys last season but stayed on with the 2010 Ghanaian champions.

Saka explained why he decided to sign a two-year contract extension when Hearts and Kotoko are available.

“I am not interested in joining any local side, such as Hearts or Kotoko. I have rather signed a two-year contract extension with Aduana Stars,” the local Black Stars player told Graphic Sports.

“There is no chance of me playing for either of the two teams. This is because Aduana is also a big club which has also won the Premier League before.”

Saka, a graduate of the Right To Dream Academy, has been consistent in the Ghana top-flight but yet to feature for the senior Black Stars.

“I sometimes feel disappointed for not getting a call-up into the Black Stars team but I’m focused on working hard for the future,” Saka added.
