Hearts of Oak have appointed Elton Jorge Nunez as the Video Analyst and Scout of the club.
The Portuguese scout has joined the backroom staff of the team and he will be providing video analyst for the first team and also scout for talents for the youth teams.
His salary conditions were not revealed but the analysts with this kind of offer from Hearts of Oak he is satisfied.
"I am happy to arrive at Accra Hearts of Oak to be the analyst and do scouting report for the team,” Nunez told facebook.com/accraheartsofoak.
“I analyze teams, I scout young talents and that is why we are trying to build a basis [U17 team] and to search for kids here in Accra, and then try to spread it out to all Ghana. We are trying to bring [exceptional] talents to the club, young talents before they reach the late ages [in football].
"I am here to try to do the best for the team and compromise with the team and the board. We will try to improve every day.
"We have worked in the African market since 2012. Regarding young talents, we have scouted a lot of young talents in Nigeria – and there’s lot of them. I worked with Sergio to do scouting programmes. I manage information [also] and send it to Sergio on the field to the players.
"My expertise is from the stands because I have a different picture or view from the field and I can bring what Sergio cannot see on the bench and provide information to him if anything is going wrong in any game."
Elton Nunez was at the stadium on Wednesday when Hearts drew with Liberty Professionals, and he will be supporting the technical team for the remaining games of the season.
"I have been warmly received,” he said. "The reception has been very good even with the players and we have a very good chemistry right now."
