Owner Togbe Afede XIV believes Hearts of Oak is as attractive as European giants Real Madrid and that it is practically impossible for anyone to turn overtures from the club down.
The Executive Board Chairman presented his new technical crew headed by the experience Herbert Addo to the media at a ceremony on Thursday.
Addo will be assisted by the likes of Stephen Abugri, Edward Ansah and Sabahn Quaye in a technical assembly that excites every Hearts fan.
There are however rumours that Hearts’ preferred choice of Mas-Ud Dramani was turned down by the Asante Kotoko coach.
This the club owner has dispelled by insisting Hearts’ attractiveness is as huge as Real Madrid for anyone to turn away from.
“Let me say that we were pleasantly surprised since the position of the head coach became vacant that almost every coach in Ghana wanted to be with Hearts of Oak,” Togbe Afede XIV said.
“And there was not one coach that we approached who declined.
“It is like in Europe, if Real Madrid calls, you have to run.
“So I think Hearts of Oak has got a solid attraction to the coaches and players and I think that has been extremely helpful in bringing the likes of Herbert, Abugri and Sabahn Quaye to the fold.”
Hearts have not won the Premier League title since 2009 and their plight has annoyingly been worsened by the three successive league triumphs of bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko.
They however still consider themselves as the biggest club in Ghana and are hoping their newly constituted technical team will return the side to its past glory in the coming season.
Do you agree with Togbe Afede XIV that Hearts of Oak is as attractive as Real Madrid?
Can the newly constituted technical team return the club to its glory days?
What more do Hearts of Oak need to make them a formidable side once more again?
