Asante Kotok0 fans are raging after comments made board chairman of Hearts of Oak, Commodore Mensah.

The Accra-based club is currently in search of a reputable club for a friendly to commemorate their centenary.

However responding to a direct question as to why the club is not considering their arc-rivals for earmarked game, Mensah replied: "We are looking for a club in the same class as Hearts of Oak"

"Hearts is a big club and as such we want to play a team in the same class and not below us."

His comments has since drawn a lot of fury from the Kotoko camp with supporter chief Edmund Ackah leading the charge.

"Commodore Mensah is heading a big club and therefore should measure his utterances against a fellow big club like Kotoko," he told Asempa FM.

"How can he belittle a club like Kotoko in that manner? We take exceptional offence of his comments and at the appropriate time we will respond."
