Hearts board member Frank Nelson has denied reports they have contacted Vincent Sowah-Odotei to replace interdicted General Manager Neil Armstrong Mortagbe.

The name of the former Hearts chief has popped up in the local media as the man being courted to replace the embattled FIFA marketing consultant.

The former treasurer of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has been interdicted over shocking allegations of many wrong doings.

He has been accused of being involved in visa fraud and reportedly detained at the Odorkor Police station over the matter.

His interdiction has sparked widespread reports that the club is in the market scouring for a new man to take charge of the club with the name of the former King Faisal Chief Executive featuring prominently.

But board member Frank Nelson has water down on the reports insisting no such thing has come to the table.

“These are rumors that we know in the media. We are wounded because we did not expect to lose Neil Armstrong at this particular time or put make him step aside,” he said

“ I am not speaking for the Board but I know what I am talking about. This has not come to the Board and we have not discussed this issue.

“There is no name that has come up.”

Mortagbe was appointed only ten months ago but failed to lead the team to recapture their lost glory after playing catch-ups in the Ghanaian top-flight over the last five years.
