Hearts of Oak board member Frank Nelson has denied media reports that he once bailed interdicted Managing Director Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe who was arrested for fraud.

Some of the allegations against the beleaguered football administrator are that he used the club’s letterhead in an illegal visa application scandal.

This resulted in his arrest and sent to the Darkuman Police station in Accra only to be bailed by a fellow Hearts board member whose identity was revealed as Nelson.

But Nelson says he was never involved in signing for the FIFA marketing consultant to be released.

“I have not gone to bail anybody,” he told Hello FM. “Even the Darkuman police station, I don't know there.”

Armstrong-Mortagbe is being investigated by a three-man committee for malfeasance.
