Hearts board to decide on new CEO on Thursday

The board of directors of Heats of Oak will meet on Thursday to decide who will be appointed Chief Executive.

The position at the club has been made vacant since Fred Crentsil decided not to continue after the expiration of his contract last season.

Hearts of Oak's accountant Hackman Aidoo and chairman of the supporters union Alhaji Moro Akanbi have been holding the fort.

Former supporters chief Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe is reported to be the leading candidate for the top job.

Also, former management member Randy Abbey and AshantiGold CEO Kudjoe Fianoo are reported to be in the running for the position.

Reports say the board wants to hand over the club to full-time employee to solve their long-standing administrative problems.

Hearts have had a tough season as they lie 12th on the Ghana Premier League table.
