Hearts of Oak captain Robin Gnagne admits the side needs to improve significantly following their terrible form this season.

The Phobians have endured one of their most difficult campaigns this term which saw them at a point stare right in the face of relegation.

But Hearts’ relegation woes have eased up in recent weeks especially after their landmark protest in over rivals Asante Kotoko which saw them credited with three boardroom points.

The weekend’s win over visiting Berekum Chelsea now appears to have secured Premier League football next season for the Accra-based giants.

But captain Robin Gnagne concedes the team has been poor this season and will need to improve massively

"We need to prepare ourselves very well because this season things didn't go very well," the Ivorian said.

"But I hope we perform better next season."

Hearts are currently 5th in the Ghanaian top flight going into the final round of matches this weekend.
