Hearts of Oak inspirational captain Ruben Gnagne has called on the old players of the club to rally behind the team when the Ghana Premier League takes off.
According to 22-year old guardsman, the support coming from the old players will boost the morale of the current team because their predecessors know the ins and outs of the team.
âWe need them (old players) to support us, to encourage us because they played in the team before us.
They need to guide us with advice to enable us get to the level they got with the club. Our interaction with them will really help the club,” Robin Gnagne said.
The current generation of Hearts of Oak team beat the old generation of the 2000 CAF Champions League and 2004 Confederation Cup by 4-2 in an in-house friendly dubbed as an “Impartation match” at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.
The domestic top-flight championship has been tentatively billed to come off on 20 February, 2016.
