Hearts captain Thomas Abbey seeks for quick response against Chelsea

Hearts of Oak captain Thomas Abbey is hoping for a quick response when they engage Berekum Chelsea in week 22 of the Ghana Premier League following their 1-0 loss to Bechem United over the weekend.

The Phobians are slowly losing ground in their ambition to land their first league title in nine years after failing to record a victory in their last two outings, which culminated in their slip to fourth on the standings.

The club will hope to return to winning ways against the Blues on Wednesday before travelling to Kumasi to encounter fiercest rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

But speaking ahead of their clash with Berekum Chelsea, Abbey reiterated that taking three points against their opponents is their sole focus.

“Our last defeat was a painful one but we have to put that aside and focus on our next game. We don’t want to think about Sunday’s clash against Kotoko but the main focus is on our next game where we have to secure all three points at home,” Abbey said in an interview.

The highly anticipated clash between Hearts and Berekum Chelsea is expected to kick start at 3:30 pm local time on Wednesday.
