Captain of Hearts of Oak Thomas Abbey has lauded coach Frank Elliot Nuttall for uniting the side and keeping them grounded in the club’s quest to annex the premier league title.

The versatile midfielder, who has been one of the club’s most consistent performers in the campaign so far hailed the Scottish trainer’s mental fortitude and his introduction of a good playing spirit in the squad.

“He always maintains a good level. Nuttall is a coach who likes to keep his feet on the ground and who likes to have a team whose feet are on the ground as well,” says Abbey in an interview with Hearts News.

“He is a coach who likes to know why he won. So, for you to win you have to be humble and respect the opponent, and to be able to respect the opponent it’s hard work,” he added.

“That attitude is giving your all on the pitch helping the team and every player to develop well, it’s having a good game and understanding why you won. So, he looks to pass this on to the team. We have gotten this because of the collective effort in the side.”

Abbey is counting on the form they exhibited before the league went on brief recess to serve as a launchpad to aid their quest in the premier league title hunt.

Hearts will travel to the Berekum Golden City Park on Match Day 9 of the ongoing league to engage Berekum Chelsea.
