Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak Alhaji Brimah Akanbi has called on the teaming fans of the club to remain calm following the severe punishment from the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA.

The Phobians were handed a GHC12000 fine as well as playing behind closed doors by the DC but the former NCC Chairman says the fans must not act in any way as the management is set to appeal the decision.

“What I will say is that the fans must be very calm. We are handling the matter at the management level and will appeal the decision soon,” he said on Asempa FM.

“We know punishments are given out to reform offenders but the severity of the punishment calls for an appeal.

“We have given the matter to our lawyers and they are currently looking at it. After studying the whole thing, we shall appeal the decision,” he added.

The Chairman National Chapters Committee of the club as well as the Public Relations Officer Barima Atuahene and Opare Addo respectively were handed two years ban each as well as a fine of GHC6000 each.
