Hearts chief Gerald Ankrah is concerned about the delayed start of the Ghana Premier League.

Hearts started pre-season training last month amid financial crisis which has rocked the team.

The club has endured financial stress for couple of years as they struggled to add quality to their squad ahead of the new season.

General Manager Gerald Ankrah says the delay start of the league is taking a financial toll on the crisis team.

“We have players that we are paying. It’s not a comfortable situation at all not to know when the league is starting,” he told Joy FM.

“It is our hope that pretty shortly the GFA will come out with a tentative date for the start of the league so we can plan our pre-season preparations.”

Hearts have flirted with relegation for the past three seasons and are desperate to rewrite the wrong.
