Hearts of Oak chief Neil Armstrong Mortagbe has hailed the side’s vital win over Aduana Stars – describing it as the turning point in the fortunes of the club.

The Phobians produced a solid display to win 1-0 at the Agyemang Badu Park on Saturday.

Hearts have been in turmoil especially after the 3-0 back-to-back defeats against Wa All Stars.

Mohammed Polo’s side were expected to lose against at Aduana but produced a remarkable performance to win all three points.

Managing Director of Neil Armstrong Mortagbe believes the win will rally the side to reverse the dwindling fortunes of the club.

“I congratulate the players and technical team who delivered this victory under immense pressure,” he said.

“It was a difficult game but the team showed great character and we believe this will be the beginning of better things to come.”

Hearts have now regained their second place in the Ghanaian top flight despite playing two games more than closest rivals.

The Phobians will be hosting Ebusua Dwarfs in their next Premier League match.
