Hearts of Oak coach Nebojsa Vucicevic is expected to arrive on Wednesday from his native Serbia ahead of the Ghana Premier League derby against Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The 49-year-old left for the Eastern European country following the death of his father and missed the team's 2-1 defeat by Nigerian outfit Enugu Rangers to commemorate their centenary anniversary.

But he has been quickly recalled by Hearts ahead of the country's version of the 'El Classico' and will be on the bench for the big match.

Assistant coach Shaibu Tanko Ibrahim has been in charge of the team since he left for his homeland last week.

The arrival of the former Partizan Belgrade player will be a morale booster to the side who will be keen to placate their fans with a convincing win.

He has lost just a single game in six matches this term.
