Hearts of Oak coach David Duncan has acclaimed his teamââ¬â¢s fighting spirit in their come-from-behind win against Heart of Lions.
The Phobians fought from a goal down to secure a vital 2-1 win at home on Sunday to extend their unbeaten run in the second half of the season.
The win has propelled Hearts to 11th in the Ghanaian top flight â⬓ taking them further away from the danger of relegation.
And coach Duncan congratulated his players for their fighting spirit despite admitting his team looked nervous especially after going behind.
ââ¬ÅWe were a little bit nervous and that I can understand,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅWe were nervous and edgy thinking about winning the game at all cost and this served as counterproductive in the sense that we played erratically.
ââ¬ÅWe went down by a goal so the players had to fight back and that could also be an aggravation of the situation that I have enumerated.
ââ¬ÅBut the best thing about all of that is that we showed character and eventually got the win to get the points needed.ââ¬
Hearts will now travel to face AshGold in their next Premier League game before hosting Amidaus Professionals at the Accra Sports Stadium.
