Hearts of Oak coach Frank Elliot Nuttall is delighted with his side’s progression into the next round of the MTN FA Cup following their 2-1 victory over Sporting Mirren on Sunday.

The Phobians dominated proceedings in the opening minutes of the encounter and eventually went a goal up through defender Anthony Nimo from close range but Mirren quickly restored parity courtesy a fine strike by captain Jewel Arthur.

Winger Patrick Razak won the day for the premier league giants after some good work from Winful Cobbinah as they progressed to the next stage of the competition.

Speaking to reporters after match, Frank Nuttall said, “It’s a cup game and the most important thing is to get through into the next round, so I will say I’m happy with the outcome of the results.”

“But I am more delighted with the work of the fringe players that came into the side, I think they did well because they haven’t played in the first team this season, so it wasn’t easy for them to come through but they did marvelously well.”

Hearts travel to Bolga All Stars in week 13 of the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.
