Hearts of Oak head coach Frank Elliot Nuttall has leapt to the defense of Cosmos Duada in his side’s 2-1 loss to Tema Youth in week 7 of the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.

The 23-year old Nigerian-born forward has come under enormous criticism from the Phobian supporters due to his lackadaisical outing in the ongoing premier league campaign as he has failed to hit the back of the net after seven games.

And yesterday at the Tema Sports Stadium, a section of the club’s supporters demonstrated their frustration with the player’s performance as he failed to glitter in their 2-1 loss to the Harbour City boys.

But coach Frank Nuttall has jumped to the under-fire Dauda’s defense by expatiating the reason behind the player’s prolong stay on the pitch when he kept fluffing his lines.

” I kept Cosmos in the game because he was the fresher of the two strikers, and there where aspect of his game on the field that was good and the game plan was going well. You know I watch and see things fans do not see, so I’m not bothered by fans reaction, because I was trying to win the game”, he said in an interview.

Dauda finished last season as the club’s top scorer with 11 goals.
