Hearts coach Frank Nuttall reckons poor pitches affecting quality of Ghana League

Hearts coach Frank Nuttall says the poor playing surfaces have stifled the development of the game.

The Ghana FA has come under line of fire for approving substandard pitches for the local league.

The FC Utrecht Park in Tamale as well as the Golden City Park in Berekum have come under tight scrutiny.

And the Scottish is unhappy with the quality of pitches approved for the Ghanaian top-flight.

“I know for a fact that there is a better pitch in a brand new stadium in Tamale so i just don’t understand that a Ghana premier league game is not played there and instead will be played on a lesser standard pitch like this,"Nuttall told reporters

“I just lack understanding but i am not complaining but other people made the rules but I don't understand it."
