Hearts coach Mohammed Polo could be charged with an FA misconduct after he charged on referee John Atikese during their 2-1 defeat at Medeama.

Polo was incensed with the decision to allow Kabiru Moro’ winner to stand and rushed onto the pitch in protest.

He was followed by his backroom battalion including assistant coach Ben Adjei and other officials who were extremely angry with the match officials.

The FA will likely take a dim view of his actions at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park which could have incited the travelling fans.

Hearts were desperate to close the gap on arch-rivals and leaders Kotoko but have seen that ambition dashed.

They still trail the champions by 12 points with ten games to end the season.
