Hearts defender Nuru Sulley maintains it would be ââ¬Ëa dreamââ¬â¢ to play for Ghana at the World Cup finals this summer, and has not ruled out his chances of making Kwesi Appiah squad.
The 22-year-old, who impressed heavily during the 2014 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament in South Africa, is holding onto a potential dream of making the World Cup squad despite his slim chances.
Sulley faces a fierce competition in the race for the final squad with John Boye, Isaac Vorsah, Jerry Akaminko and Rashid Sumaila most likely to make the squad.
However, the strong centre-back, who has established himself as one of the accomplished defenders in the Ghanaian top-flight, has not given up hope of an international future.
ââ¬ÅIt would be a dream to pull on that Ghana shirt again but this time at the World Cup, and which player would ever turn that down? he quizzed.
ââ¬ÅI am still hoping the coach will call me. Playing for Ghana at the World Cup is the biggest dream of every player.
ââ¬ÅThere are always the possibilities. There are four or so months left and so anything at all can happen.
ââ¬ÅTo be honest with you, I am keeping that dream close to me.ââ¬
