Hearts deny Otoo sale to Elazigspor but opens door to offers

Hearts of Oak have denied selling Mahatma Otoo to a Turkish club but say the striker is available for transfer for the right price.

Second tier side Elazigspor claim they have reached a deal to sign the 19-year-old but Hearts’ Chief Executive Fred Crentsil insists the reports are false.

Crentsil however revealed there are a host of clubs who have enquired of the availability of the ex Ghana U-20 captain and added Hearts will be interested in a deal once the right offer comes along.

“We have not reached a deal with any club to sign Mahatma (Otoo), the reports are not true” Crentsil told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“There are a number of clubs who have approached us with the view of signing Mahatma but we are yet to reach a deal with any of them.

“Every player on this planet is available for transfer only and only if the right offer is made and that is the case with Mahatma.”

Otoo’s loyalty to Hearts seems shaken following threats to his mother over his profligacy in the current campaign.

He has managed only two goals after twelve rounds of matches in the Glo Premier League.
