Obed Ansah has begun full-scale training with Hearts of Oak.

Hearts of Oak have been handed a massive injury boost ahead of the second round of the Ghana Premier League with the return of Obed Ansah and Ashittey Ollenu.

The duo missed the better half of the first round of the season.

Winger Ashittey featured in six matches before being sidelined for three months after picking up a hamstring injury in the defeat at AshantiGold on match-day 9.

Hard-tackling midfielder Ansah missed the entire first round with the senior team due to a troublesome ankle injury.

But he played a cameo with the reserve team and led them to their first win of the season in the 2-3 away win against Amidaus Professionals.

"It is very interesting to have Ollenu and Obed back," Hearts coach Mohammed Polo said.

"They are just coming back from long injuries, and I am hoping they get into shape very soon.

"Obed [Ansah] is not fully fit. He needs proper treatment because he is a reliable player.

"Ollenu [Ashittey] has shown glimpses but physically he is not there although he is coping."
