Hearts of Oak have declared they will no longer embark on a mass recruitment exercise in their bid to beat down the ââ¬Ëhumungous debtââ¬â¢ of the club.
Hearts signed about seven players in the secondary transfer window just to bolster their side for the second half of the season.
This adds up to the reported 14 players signed at the beginning of the season.
The clubââ¬â¢s managing director Neil Armstrong Mortagbe now says there will no longer be such a massive recruitment drive with the club still haggling over choking debts owed groups and individuals.
ââ¬ÅHearts of Oak will not go on a mass recruitment,â⬠Mortgabe said.
ââ¬ÅThis will not happen unless it is very necessary.
ââ¬ÅThis is why the club run into humungous debt and we will want to avoid this at all cost.ââ¬
