A Hearts of Oak fan was beaten by another fan after confronting coach Mohammed Polo and telling him ‘we will sack you and bring back David Duncan’ after the 3-1 loss to Liberty Professionals on Sunday.

The unknown fan of the Phobians was beaten and dragged to the pulled up car of the Hearts trainer where he was ordered to apologize.

Polo has faced a torrid time since replacing David Duncan late last year.

The ex Ghana international has won only four times in 11 games as coach of Hearts of Oak – losing four times and drawing three.

The defeat on Sunday against Liberty Professionals saw the Phobians miss another opportunity to gain grounds on leaders Asante Kotoko – who drew at Berekum Chelsea – in the Ghanaian top flight.

The incensed fan drew towards the parked official vehicle of Mohammed Polo at the Dansoman Roundabout and screamed towards him: “We will sack you and bring back Duncan.”

Polo who is a known extrovert replied back by saying: “Some of you the fans don’t come and pay to support the team but yet still demand results all the time.”

The heated exchanges caught the attention of another passing by fan who decided to take matters into his own hands by beating up his other colleague and demanding an apology from him.

The helpless fan had no choice but to apologize to the Hearts coach by which time a crowd had gathered.

Hearts remain second in the First Capital Plus League nine points adrift Asante Kotoko but just a point ahead third placed Heart of Lions.
