Hearts fans cry conspiracy

Fans of Hearts of Oak claim there is a conspiracy to stop the dominance of the club and their rivals Asante Kotoko in this season's Glo Premier League.

The Hearts faithful are backing their allegations with comments made by some top officials of the Ghana Football Association openly and secretly.

Kwame Adjepong, spokesperson of the National Chapters Committee told Ghanasoccernet: "Before the league commenced, the President of the Ghana Football went on air to say that we wished the duopoly of Hearts and Kotoko will be ended this season.

"From the way things are going, we have every right to believe that there's an invisible hand to deny the club at all cost.

"Before our match against Kotoko, the PLB Chairman also said he wished we lost that match so that the point gap between us and Kotoko was narrowed since we are ahead of them."

He added: "In our match against AshantiGold in Accra we scored a goal which was disallowed by the referee. The PLB came out to apologise and went ahead to sanction the referee. We dropped points in that match.

"Last Sunday, we(supporters of Hearts of Oak) have watched the playback of the goal that was disallowed and there was no way the corner-kick which resulted in the goal went over the touchline before coming back into play.

"We feel our hands are being tied at our backs."

Defending champions Hearts are second on the league table, one point behind leaders AshantiGold Football Club.
