Hearts fire blank against Ebusua Dwarfs

Posted On Sunday, 22nd April 2012

Hearts of Oak players in the league

Hearts of Oak dropped points at home against Ebusua Dwarfs in a 0-0 draw on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians were seeking to respond after last week’s 2-1 defeat to rivals Asante Kotoko but were thwarted by a resolute Dwarfs side.

Striker Mahatma Otoo was named in the starting line-up but could not lead the charge upfront.

Kofi Abanga was the first to come close to scoring but his looped shot over goalkeeper Boateng-who was off his line- failed to drop in time.

Soulama comes charging forward, sends in a good cross but is cleared by the Dwarfs defence.

In the 85th minute, another penalty shout from the Hearts faithful but referee Charles Tagoe waived and booked Douglas Nkrumah for diving.

Hearts are now 15 points behind leaders Kotoko in third place.

5 macthes to go(15pts),anything at all can happen considering the points difference(15pts). We are capable of causing miracle in Ghana football. we did at elwak some time past. we go by our motor ”NEVER SAY DIE” until all the remainning matches are honoured no one has won the league. Gud evn to all hearts fans and fresher(kotoko). ENJOY UR EVNN

HAHAHA SETH you are very funny!

Lets set the records straight. First of all the only team capable of a “miracle” is AshGold and NOT Hearts of Oak and here’s why.

Kotoko is leading Hearts by 15 points and has a superior head to head rule. Now even if, note I say even if the head to head rule were ignored, there’s no way Hearts of Oak can achieve a superior goal aggregate relative to Kotoko’s because currently Kotoko leads Hearts with +14 GOALS.

However with 14 points between AshGold and Kotoko, and lets assume Kotoko were to lose all the remaining Matches and AshGold were to win all their remaining matches, they AshGold will top the league with 56points against Kotoko’s 55. And If Hearts were to win all their matches, Hearts will be at 55, and on level with Kotoko, but Kotoko with Kotoko ahead on head-to-head.
      So Mr SETH come again!

oh SETH n al hrts faithfuls,ur title hps ar ova. Beta accept dat. with 5 matches (15pts) 2 go, even if hats wins al da remaining matches n score 1000 goals n Ashkot loses al da remaining matches n conceeds 1000 goals, hrts wil stil not win da league. Remember head-to-head rules applies n AshKot hv a beta head-to-head records against hrts n al da oda teams so far except new edubeasi. 4now only Ashgold stands da chance of beating Ashkot 2 da league wif jst a point which wil not happen.
    Kotoko, champions 22.

  4. Ceekay Nar says:

seth y dnt u simply acept defeat n b a gud loser.Gone ar da days whn hrts win league titles by winin boardroom pts or by deducting pts 4m Ashkot’s pts build ups. • Casio says:

No Enock(h) we have not FORGOTTEN we have less than 2 weeks to pay our FORMER coach. Thank you for reminding us though and you’re welcome to help us pay because I’m sure you don’t want to see us in second division…. right? :-)

      • SETH says:

u are funny casio(how). I am praying to GOD that Kotoko should be relegated to 2nd division. I hve not married, like that day i will marry at all cost to celebrate my wedding very well. hahahaha….:) :) :( :)
