Hearts of Oak are in talks with several clubs with the view of purchasing players to strengthen its squad during the January transfer period.

Top of Hearts’ January wishlist is the current leading goal scorer Emmanuel Baffour who has made public his desire to join the Phobians.

And after raking in over 2.5m Ghana cedis during the club's share flotation exercise, the club insists it is financially fortified to buy any available talent on the coach’s wish list.

“We are in talks with some clubs with respect to a possible move in January,” Hearts' PRO Albert Commey told Takoradi-based Melody FM.

“It is for instance very obvious that we need a striker to partner Mahatma (Otoo) and we also need a schemer in midfield to create chances for the strikers to score.

“Baffour has expressed interests to come to Hearts via an interview he has had and so we will be working on that. In fact we tried to sign him before he joined Edubiase but for some strange reasons he was not signed.

“The clubs should just name their price, we are prepared to strengthen our squad not only for the league but then we are looking at conquering Africa again.”

Hearts currently lie third in the Premier League, two points behind leaders and rival, Asante Kotoko.

They take on 11th placed AshantiGold when the league resumes on January 8 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
