Hearts have denied media reports Managing Director Neil Armstrong Mortagbe will be sacked by the close of the week.

Mortagbe has come under intensive pressure to quit his post following the side’s failure to win the Premier League title.

Many had tipped the ambitious football administrator to guide the Accra side to recapture lost glory, but that dream has gone up in smoke as they will end another season without a silverware.

That sparked widespread reports that he will be sacked by the club’s board with his future expected to be decided on Thursday May 1.

However, the club spokesman Muheed Saeed has rubbished such reports insisting they are well wide off the mark.

“Though some serious allegations have are being peddled about Mr. Armstrong-Mortagbe, which he vehemently denies, the Board of Directors of the Club are yet to give him a formal hearing,” he said

“It is therefore untrue that the Board has relieved him of his duties. It also false that he has been sacked as is being reported in a section of the media.”
