Hearts, Medeama cry foul over G6 bias, claim tournament is skewed to favour Aduana Stars

Hearts of Oak and Medeama are unhappy with the fixture congestion and apparent bias towards the two teams in the ongoing G6 tournament, sources have told GHANAsoccernet.com

The two clubs feel the tournament has been skewed to favour Aduana Stars in particular after all their fixtures were fixed for the Sunyani Coronation Park.

Reports says Medeama are being forced to play Aduana Stars in Sunyani on Saturday which is a direct contradiction of the rules agreed.

The two clubs feel Aduana Stars are being handed an undue advantage in a move which threatens a potential withdrawal from the competition by the two clubs.

Medeama will play Hearts on Thursday in Kumasi before traveling to Sunyani to battle the Fire Club at the Coronation Park.

Officials of the Mauve and Yellows are livid with the latest decision to move their second game to Saturday after it was earlier advertised it will be played on Monday.

They feel their players will not get enough rest after playing Hearts on Thursday and are demanding a reversal of the latest decision.

In addition the two clubs, who have traveled several kilometers are forced to play to Dorma-based side, who require just an hour to travel to Sunyani for the fixture.

Both Hearts and Medeama officials have told GHANAsoccernet.com they are unhappy with the fixture arrangement and feel the tournament has been skewed to favour Aduana Stars.

The tournament has produced some scintillating results after Aduana Stars recorded a narrow 1-0 win over Hearts while Kotoko hammered Bechem United 3-0 in Kumasi on Monday.
