Hearts of Oak midfielder Kofi Abanga is calling on the fans support to sustain the side’s new found momentum in the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians thrashed Amidaus Professionals 3-0 to register their first home win under coach Mohammed Polo.

The massive result eases pressure on the side following a string of inconsistent displays in the Ghanaian top flight.

Midfielder Abanga however believes the support of the fans is crucial for the maintenance of the momentum gained by the side as they face Medeama in the outstanding Premier League match against Medeama on Wednesday.

“We are delighted with the three points we earned over the weekend but we have now turned our focus to clinch another win on Wednesday,” he told Metro FM.

“We know things are difficult with respect to winning the league but we will keep fighting until the end.

“We only ask the supporting to keep backing us and keep encouraging us so that we can sustain this momentum until the end.”

Hearts remain 12 points adrift leaders Asante Kotoko but can close this gap with what will be a famous win over Medeama on Wednesday in Tarkwa.
