Hearts Moro Abubakar not keen on Niger switch

Hearts of Oak midfielder Moro Abubakar says he is not keen to represent Niger as an international.

Niger coach Roland Courbis has spotted the potential in the workaholic middleman and wants him to aid their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

Abubakar's father comes from Niger and makes him eligible to represent the West African side.

"I have met him (Courbis) on a few occasions to discuss the possibility of playing for Niger but my answer has always been No," Abubakar revealed.

"He's even spoken with my parents to persuade me to play for them."

Abubakar is not the first Ghanaian being targeted by the Menas who are keen on improving after making their maiden appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations which ended in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea two weeks ago.

Former Fetteh Feyenoord trainee Mandela Ocansey naturalized to play for Niger.
