Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have abandoned their ambition to sign gloves-man Eric Ofori Antwi from Amidaus Professionals, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

Interdicted Hearts of Oak Managing Director Neil Armstrong initiated plans to bring the former Ghana U20 goalkeeper to Hearts of Oak next season with the shot-stopper expressing his readiness to join the 20-time Ghana Premier League title winners.

However, Armstrong's interdiction and unlikely return to post could mean an end of a dream move for the talented young keeper.

Hearts will part ways with current first-choice Tetteh Luggard at the end of the season while regular starter Philemon McCarthy has been linked with a move to Danish side FC Midtjylland.

The Phobians have also enquired about the availability of Medeama  SC impressive keeper Muntari Tagoe but the Mauves asking price is putting them off.

Antwi is willing to join Hearts as he has expressed readiness in the past but a move has to be initiated by the former African champions who have experienced goalkeeping crisis this season.
