Hearts of Oak are facing two charges by the Ghana Football Association for delaying kickoff of last Saturday’s league derby against Asante Kotoko in Kumasi.
In the first charge, Hearts failed to promptly change and use an alternative goalkeeper's stripe as directed by the match officials pursuant to the GFA Regulations.
Their action is said to have breached Articles 17(1)(c), 17(1)(d), 17(2) and 17(5) of the GFA General Regulations.
The Phobians have also been charged for delaying the kick-off of the match due to their reluctance to change the goalkeeper’s stripe when it clashed with the home team’s stripe as directed by the match officials pursuant to the GFA Regulations.
The club has hereby charged for a breach of Articles 17(3), and 23(1) of the GFA General Regulations in respect of their match against Asante Kotoko.
The club are to submit their written Statement of Defence to the charge(s) on or before Tuesday, February 17, 2015 on or before 5pm at the GFA Secretariat.
If they fail to do so, the Disciplinary Committee shall proceed to adjudicate the case without their Statement of Defence.
