Hearts of Oak have lost an appeal against a Ghana FA Player Status Committee ruling that they must pay former coach David Duncan GHS 86,500 (US$ 40,000) for wrongfully terminating his contract.
The Appeals Committee threw out Heartsââ¬â¢ case for a reduction in the severance package for the former Ghana U23 coach.
Duncan was dismissed in November last year but Hearts wanted to pay a compensation fee of US$21,000- which was a summation of his three-month salary.
But that was rejected by the coachââ¬â¢s representative who sent the case to the Player Status Committee.
"We are consulting our lawyers and we are going to proceed based on their advise," Hearts of Oakââ¬â¢s spokesperson Muheeb Saeed told allsports.com.gh
"It will all depend on what our lawyers say: of course if they say we have no case then we will have to concede. So we'll just wait for their advice."
