Hearts of Oak agree terms with Wahab Ackwei- Report
Wahab Ackwei

Former Inter Allies defender Wahab Ackwei is on the verge of joining Hearts of Oak ahead of the forthcoming campaign.

The 21-year-old guardsman parted ways with the La-based side after three years of service and dedication.

He was one of the key cogs who helped the club gained promotion to the Ghanaian top-flight division in 2013.

Ackwei played a contributory role by helping Inter Allies survive the drop in the Ghana Premier League last term.

But the talented defender's contract with the side elapsed at the end of last season and he's looking forward for a new challenge elsewhere.

β€œIt is true that Ackwei has left us, his contract ended and he did not extend. He applied for floating and he was granted,” the source told footballmadeinghana.com

β€œI can confirm to you that he is on his way to Accra Hearts of Oak as they have agreed personal terms, is just left with medicals and he will sign.”

The Phobians are eager to beef up their squad ahead of the season as they aim to bounce back from last season's disappointing campaign.
