Hearts of Oak coach Frank Nuttall has praised the performance of winger Paul Acquah against Great Olympics ahead of the Phobians midweek clash with Tema Youth.

Acquah was given the nod following injuries to some key players and he did not disappoint on the day, producing a fine performance as Hearts recorded win over city rivals Olympics.

Acquah opened the scoring with a beautiful header and played a role in the build up to the winning goal.

“I just felt that [Paul] Acquah could contribute to the game in general play and open play and also do a particular kind of job for me which I asked him to do. He did that well and then to get the goal was really good for him. I am pleased for him,” Nuttall revealed in an interview with the club's website.

“I had not seen those other players [Acquah and Kassenu] play in a first team game. They played well in the reserves game and that is why we have been having the friendly matches.

"So I was confident that they could play but I haven’t seen much of them since I arrived here but they did very well and followed the game plan. I was pleased with them,” he added.
