Hearts of Oak say they will name a new coach before the club begin pre-season next Monday after shortlisting three applicants.

The Phobians announced last month they had received applications from 15 coaches including stop-gap coach Eddie Ansah who was first hired as the club’s goalkeepers’ trainer.

According to the club’s official newspaper, Hearts News, the list has been pruned to three where the next coach will come from.

Free State Stars coach Ernst Middendorp, former Aduana Aristica Ciaoba and Zdravko Logarusic, who last handled King Faisal, were on the initial list.

Hearts parted ways with Herbert Addo in July with five matches to the end of the season.
