Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak have denied falling out with striker Edwin Osei Pele.

The 19-year-old has been restricted to the bench in the league matches, prompting speculations about his frosty relationship with the technical team and some management members.

The player is believed to be frustrated and unsettled at the club he helped clinch the pre-season Top-4 competition last year.

But the former African champions have moved to quell the talk by the local media.

"Let me put in on record that there it is absolutely wrong for anyone to suggest that the fact that Osei Pele is not playing actively for the club means there are some underhand dealings to frustrate him. It's is palpably untrue and a stop must be put to it,'' Hearts spokesperson Albert Commey told GHANAsoccernet.com

"There are equally good players in the team and therefore it’s the sole prerogative of the coach to determine who is fit to play at what position.

"We know it will be frustrating for any player in his position but what is important is that he try and get over his emotions and continue with his serious training. He is a very good player with huge potential and I think people must stop this tactics that will go a long way to kill his morale."

Pele was the top scorer for the club in the pre-season Top-4 competition but seems to be out of form.
