Ex-Hearts management member Abdul Aziz Haruna Futah has urged the club not to renew the contract of Herbert Addo, claiming the tactics of the veteran trainer is ‘outmoded’

The outspoken leading fan claims the veteran trainer has lost touch with the modern trend of the game and confused about his own tactics following their 2-1 win over Olympique Ngor in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday.

He has urged the leadership of the club to reconsider his position claiming his clunky and regressive approach will spell doom for the club.

In a damning verdict of the former Aduana Stars trainer, Aziz Futah claimed he’s out of touch and must be replaced going forward.

“His tactics are outmoded. He’s very confused about his own tactics. He doesn't know whether he plays defensive or offensive,” he told Oman FM

“I don’t think he can take us far. There are so many questions marks about his tactics.

“Going forward I think the leadership of the club must not renew his contract. We must look at his position.”

Hearts survived a late scare to come from behind to beat the Senegalese side 2-1 ahead of the return fixture next month.
