Defender Kofi Agyare has been told he is not needed at Hearts of Oak.

The former Berekum Arsenals stopper received an official correspondence from the club communicating this position on Tuesday.

Agyare has been on indefinite suspension for claiming bribery allegations against the Phobians during his time with Kessben FC.

The club have however decided against recalling the player back into the team by indicating he is not part of coach CK Akunnor’s plans for the upcoming season.

Agyare however believes the excuse is just a front for the real reason why he is being kicked out of the club.

“I was told that I was not part of the coach’s plans for the season but I beg to differ,” he told Accra-based Hot FM.

“If it comes to performance I know I am good enough so I believe it is purely a decision from management.”

Hearts commenced their pre-season activities on Monday as they bid to reste back the Premier League title they last won in 2009 from rivals Asante Kotoko.
