In-form Accra Hearts of Oak striker Gilbert Fiamenyo says he is not worried by his snub for Ghana call-up by Avram Grant.

The bulky forward, 22, has netted eight (8) times in 11 games for the Hearts this season in the Ghana Premier League but that has not drawn the attention of head coach Grant.

However the former Ghana U20 striker says he is not worried by snub.

"If players do well in the local league, they usually get to play in friendly matches but I do not have that chance. If the opportunities come, I will take them and play for the national team. Any player wants to play for his country and I am no different," he said.

Ghana U20 assistant coach Augustine Arhinful who is a former Ghana international and Hearts of Oak winger branded the Fiamenyo as a 'lazy striker'.

"I am waiting for the call-up but in the meantime, I will work hard in expectation of the next invitation. I am not worried about what has already happened".
