Selassie Adjei suffers another setback

Hearts of Oak striker Selassie Adjei will be thoroughly examined in the coming days after suffering yet another setback on his road to full recovery.

Adjei has been struggling with a knee injury this season which has limited his first team opportunities.

The former Amidaus Professsionals hitman returned to training with the Phobians on Monday but was unable to complete the session after complaining of pains in his troubled knee.

The club’s physiotherapist Okyere Agyei Baffour confirmed that the striker will have to be examined to know the extent of the fresh setback.

“Selassie joined us at training on Monday, but he complained of sharp pains after joining the rest of the team in the ball work routine,” he told the club’s website.

“We took a precautionary step by asking him to take a rest from the exercise. He is scheduled to go for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan, after that he will see Dr. Bulley and we will know the extent of the problem.”
