Hearts owner Togbe Afede attends beauty contest as Phobians suffer relegation threatening defeat to Kotoko

Hearts of Oak majority shareholder Togbe Afede XIV scored a massive own goal when when he was filmed attending a beauty contest while the club was suffering a defeat to Asante Kotoko which has brought widespread condemnation of his leadership of the Accra-based giants.

The traditional ruler has come under barrage of criticism after he opted to attend a beauty contest on Sunday at the same time that the club was being battered by their arch Kotoko to push deeper into the relegation dogfight.

The traditional ruler was the guest of the launch of TV3’s reality show ‘Ghana’s Most Beautiful at the time his team was being taught football lessons by their arch-rivals Asante Kotoko.

The lack of timing has angered most of their teeming supporters who have accused him of running down the club since his takeover and has been accused of being unconcerned over the sorry state of the club.

The action of the business magnate has further worsened claims of lack of attention and interest in the club which is battling relegation this season.

Hearts are in a precarious situation and need solution to their dwindling fortunes and fast after going down 2-1 against the champions in Accra.

The club is in state of quagmire and need to win their remaining five games to stay afloat with mounting pressure on the President of Asogli Traditional Area in the Volta Region.

Past top officials have accused him of running a one-man show which has culminated in their unflattering campaign this term.

Hearts make the short trip to Dansoman where they face Liberty Professionals on Wednesday.
