Accra Hearts of Oak kept their winning run in the mid-season break warm-up games by managing a slim 1-0 win over Division One side Kotoku Royals on Sunday afternoon.

Gifted midfielder Emmanuel Hayford snatched victory for Mohammed Polo's men with a glorious strike from 20 yards in the 13th minute.

Hearts coach Mohammed Polo named a strong side that featured Winful Cobbinah, Ollenu Ashitey, Ivorian defender Robin Gnagne, U20 invitee Owusu Bempah while Philemon McCarthy returned to man the post.

Hearts have been undefeated in their mid-season friendlies and as they look set to round up their campaign, they ended in style as they won by a narrow margin.
