Hearts recruit Attakora Gyimah eyes goal king crown

Published on: 15 September 2011

Hearts of Oak new recruit Prince Atakorah Gyimah has targeted the goal king crown for the forthcoming Ghana Premier League.

The former Ghana Under-17 team striker signed a three-year deal with the former African champions from relegated BA Stars.

Gyimah wants to etch his name in the club's folklore by banging in the goals next season.

"My dream is to top the goal king chart and thereby help Hearts to be league champions," he told Daily Guide Sports.

"If nothing at all, at least I should find the net 12 times to make the Hearts fans happy."

Atakorah Gyimah will ready for Hearts when they open their campaign against his former side Berekum Arsenals on 9 October.

He has previously played for defunct Kessben FC and Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League.

Well i have been following Prince Atakorah Gyimah's progress since the under 17 world championship where with the little exposure that he had, he was able to show the kind of stuff he was made of. I think this guy has a similar playing style with Jordan Ayew and when given the time to settle in at Hearts , he is Ghana be great! The sky is the limit

@Osam. He couldn't settle in at kessben and Medeama and you think he can do so at a club like Hearts with it's impatient fans. You must be kidding me.

And moreover, kessben and medeama were entrenched with a lot of players at that time. But you know something, The young guys that Hearts are recruiting are going to be the pillars upon which the team is going to dwell on. The rebuilding exercise will create more playing opportunities for this lad and the others.
