Newly-appointed youth team coach Stephen Abugri is on the verge of being sacked at Hearts over mounting allegations of sabotage.

The former Medeama assistant coach has been accused of undermining head trainer Herbert Addo, forcing the club to take drastic action against him.

Team manager Sabahn Quaye revealed Abugri has become a stumbling block to the team’s success due to his negative influence on the team.

"I came and I realised that there were so many problems in the club especially technical", he told newly-established Atinka FM

"I engineered that he be left home for Dauda Lutherodt to go to Benin with Herbert Addo".

"We held a meeting with the whole team and board in front of Togbe and and asked whoever had issues should voice it and we realised that the issues had to do with Stephen Abugri.

"How can a coach tell his players that he would love the players to play but the head coach wouldn't allow it.

"Whether it is sabotage or whatever, I won’t say it but I can tell you that the assistant coach was not helping his main boss.”

Aburgi was left out of the team’s trip to Benin during their CAF Confederation Cup match against AS Police over the weekend to fuel speculations about his future.

He joined Hearts after leaving Medeama under controversial circumstances.
