Hearts sign Burkinabe left-back Soulama

Hearts of Oak have announced capture of Burkina Faso international Ahmed Soulama from Etoile Filante on a three-year-old contract. 

The 24-year-old towering left-back completed a medical on Monday and signed a deal reported to be in the region of US$ 10,000.

Soulama is a like-for-like replacement for Samuel Ayisi who has been offloaded after failing to impress at the club.

A club official told the 90Minutes newspaper: "We had the opportunity of watching Soulama before signing him."

"He is energetic and purposeful so it is good to have him because he will give the other defenders the needed competition which will be good for the team."

Augustine Sefah and Samuel Nzemaba are have both justified their places at the left-back role.
